1. Information We Collect

Account Information

We collect your email address, name, profile information and account preferences when you create an account (directly or with Sign in with Apple / Google).

Study Content

We store the content you create or upload — notes, drawings, documents, voice recordings, AI chat messages — and your learning progress (flashcard reviews, test results, streaks).

Purchases

On the web, payments are processed by LemonSqueezy. In the mobile apps, purchases are made through the Apple App Store or Google Play. We receive the purchase record (product, status, renewal date) — never your card details.

Technical Data

Our servers log technical data such as IP address, device and browser type, and error reports, to run the service and keep it secure. We don't use advertising identifiers and don't track you across other apps or websites.

2. How We Use Your Information

Service Provision: To provide the study tools you use, sync your data across devices, manage your subscription and credits, and maintain your account.

Communication:To send service updates, answer support requests and — if you haven't opted out — occasional product news.

Improvement and Safety: To fix bugs, understand which features are used, review reports of problematic AI output, and prevent abuse.

3. AI Processing and Your Data

Notiee's AI features (chat, flashcard, test and study-plan generation, mind maps, transcription, podcasts) are powered by Google's Gemini API. When you use one of these features, the content you use it with — your messages, and the notes, files or recordings you select — is sent to Google for processing so the answer can be generated. Nothing is sent to the AI provider until you use an AI feature, and the app asks for your consent before you use AI for the first time.

Google processes this data as our service provider under itsGemini API terms. We do not use your content to train our own AI models, and we don't sell it.

AI output can be wrong. You can report any AI response in the app; reports include the reported text so we can review it.

4. Data Sharing and Service Providers

We don't sell your personal data. We share data only with the providers that run the service for us:

• Appwrite (Frankfurt, EU) — account, database and file storage
• Vercel — website and server hosting
• Google (Gemini API) — AI processing, see section 3
• LemonSqueezy, Apple App Store, Google Play — payments
• Apple, Google — sign-in, if you choose it
• An e-mail delivery provider — service e-mails

We may also disclose data when required by law, to protect our rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer with equivalent privacy protections.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access and Export: Request copies of your personal data; notes can be exported in the app
• Correct: Update inaccurate information and modify your account details
• Delete: Delete your account and all associated data in Settings → Account — seehow to delete your account
• Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing e-mails

You can exercise most rights in your account settings. For other requests, contact us atsupport@notiee.com and we will respond within 30 days.

6. Data Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and stored with our providers, who encrypt it at rest. Access is limited to what's needed to run the service. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data with appropriate safeguards.

7. Data Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your content and account data are deleted. Inactive accounts (no login for 1+ year) may be deleted after 60 days' notice, unless you have an active subscription.

Purchase records may be kept longer where accounting or tax law requires it.

8. International Data Transfers

Some providers (for example Google and Vercel) may process data outside your country, including in the United States. These transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

9. Children's Privacy

Notiee is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Users between 13 and 17 may only use Notiee with parental consent.

If we discover we have collected information from a child under 13 without proper consent, we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices, technology or legal requirements. We will notify you of material changes by e-mail or in the app.
